| Description |
This recall involves two products: Prestone Windshield De-Icer and Prestone Ice & Frost Shield. The Windshield De-Icer (SKU AS-246) is used to melt ice on vehicle windshields and windows. The De-Icer was sold in a clear yellow 32-ounce trigger spray plastic bottle with a black tip on the nozzle. The Prestone Ice & Frost Shield (SKU AS-247) is used to reduce morning frost, light ice and snow on vehicle windshields, windows and wiper blades. The Frost Shield was sold in a clear yellow 32-ounce trigger spray plastic bottle with a yellow trigger pull. The SKU number is printed on the bottom left of the back label. |
| Problem |
The trigger spray assembly can be removed from the De-Icer and Frost Shield container. The product contains methanol and ethylene glycol. Children may gain access to the product by removing the trigger assembly, posing a risk of poisoning. |
