Problem | The tether webbing fails to conform to the abrasion requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 213, "Child Restraint Systems." If the webbing is exposed to significant amount of abrasion, it could degrade. If the webbing degrades more than allowed by the standard it may not, it may not provide sufficient protection to a child in a crash, increasing the risk of injury to the child. |
